Miller and The Other Sinners is David Michael Miller ("Miller") on vocals & guitars; Steve Davis on keys, organ, key bass, and vocals; Isaiah Griffin on drums and percussion; Dalton Sharp on saxophone; and for the last 2 years, Paul Gaspar on trumpet. These five together tracked this latest effort, a full-length album, recorded in a studio that Miller built in his mid-1800s farm house during the COVID shutdown. "Thieves In The Breadline," is an amazing step in defining this band's last 4+ years of work together, finding their sound and capturing their live chemistry. Inspired by the Marcus King record produced by Warren Haynes, both strong influences on Miller, Thieves sets to capture that fat warm sound reminiscent of iconic recordings, yet with a modern presence and push. Miller engineered, arranged, produced, mixed, and mastered this project as a labor of love and passion, yet had to hit the high water mark of his first solo album in 2014, "Poisons Sipped."

Michael McDermott's brand of rock n' roll brims with the kind of well-honed style and wisdom that can only come from a career on the road and a pedigree in the studio. Effortlessly blending natural folk sensibility, pop hooks, and honest rock, McDermott's music is as much for the outcast as the congregation. It's an exploration of the dark corners of life's journey and it resonates middle-class truths through the passionate filter of a kid who grew up on Chicago's Irish South Side.

Ellen Pieroni is a soul jazz saxophone player and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo. She has been playing the saxophone since she was 8 years old, and has been a sidewoman in a multitude of bands (including Folkfaces and Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra) for over a decade. Pieroni's smooth-infused soul jazz band Ellen Pieroni & the Encyclopedia of Soul, or EoS, was recently featured on NPR's All Things Considered as one of three "jazz stand outs" for the 2024 Tiny Desk Contest, where Felix Contreras said that "soul jazz is alive and well with…Ellen Pieroni & the Encyclopedia of Soul." Although the group is inspired by artists such as Grover Washington Jr., King Curtis, and the Crusaders, EoS puts an emphasis on new original music. The sound is driven by Pieroni's captivating and soulful melodies, supported by thoughtful improvisation from all members over deep pocket grooves.

Hamell on Trial is the musical alias of New York-based folk punk hero Ed Hamell. A one-man explosion, he is loud-as-war one minute, stepping off the microphone to whisper to an enthralled audience the next. This is a dynamic performance informed by politics, passion, intelligence and the all-important sense of humor. His caustic wit and devil-may-care attitude has long been a favorite of anti-establishment icons Aesop Rock, Kimya Dawson, Ani DiFranco and the critical elite inciting Rolling Stone magazine to call him "Bald, bold, and superbad!" Henry Rollins says "Hamell is a one man rock show!" He has been described as "Bill Hicks, Hunter S. Thompson, and Joe Strummer all rolled into one" by Philadelphia Weekly and a "one man Tarantino flick: loud, vicious, luridly hilarious, gleefully and deeply offensive" by the Village Voice.

We humans are often defined based on a single thing. For some, it could be a career choice. For others, it might be a character trait or even an event. For Miss Emily, it would be simple to say that she's defined by her unparalleled voice, by Maple Blues Female Vocalist of the Year awards in 2020 and 2022, or by a 2022 Juno nomination for Blues Album of the Year. While that type of recognition is flattering, she would encourage you to seek a broader definition of who she is.

SIRSY is fronted by powerhouse vocalist Melanie (Mel) Krahmer, who is described as "one of the most powerful & flexible voices you'll ever hear." (-Times Union). Aftertaste Magazine said, "Bursting and belting out emotion and substance, she can be the queen of 'in the groove' rocking or be simple and delicate." Still, there is more to Mel than her soul-inspired vocals: she also plays a full drum kit while standing up (she's been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine and is officially endorsed by Paiste Cymbals and Vater Percussion). At their live shows, Mel also plays bass parts with a drum stick (on a keyboard mounted on her drums). She even throws in an occasional flute solo, too. Guitarist Rich Libutti plays a well-loved and road-worn Rickenbacker through a pedalboard full of vintage effects. "The guitar player is flawless and raw. Clean enough to be enjoyed, and just edgy enough to make you grin." (-SXSW Music Blog, Austin TX). Live, Rich also plays bass on a keyboard with his feet.
